Featuring exciting NEW original rock compositions along with celebrated past protest rock songs by Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, John Fogarty, Joan Baez, Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Sam Cooke, Pete Seeger, Patti Smith and more!
These exciting NEW original rock compositions will transcend the decades. The songs created for Protest touch on the Civil Rights era to Black Lives Matter, climate change, gun violence, voting rights, women’s rights, immigrant rights, war and more. The inspiration for Protest came to fruition in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and the upheaval in the Twin Cities that followed.
New songs were written by Kat Perkins, Eric Warner, Tim Carrow, Jimmy Rogers, Linnea Mohn, Barbara Cohen, Dina Maccabee, Aaron Gabriel, Ashley DuBose, Ben Obi, Timothy A. Levy, Nora Montañez, Miguel Gonzalez and Perrin Post.
