Alabama has been one of the biggest names in country music for over 50 years and with over 40 number one hit songs. Every song is a home run sing along! Songs of the South – An Alabama Tribute is an evening full of Alabama songs you know and love with a few surprises and entertaining twists in the show.
Lead by Twin Cities veteran singer/songwriter Shane Martin, along with his top-notch band of musicians: Brad Nelson on guitar, Shawn Kolles on drums, Mike May on bass and Marv Gohman on fiddle, keys and guitars. Martin and his band have shared the stage with numerous national acts and performed at some of the top country music festivals with their infectious, high energy, vocal harmony freewheeling style.
The talented group covers all the signature harmonies of Alabama. Featuring the hits songs “The Closer You Get,” “Love in the First Degree,” “Tennessee River”, “Song of the South,” “Mountain Music,” “I’m in a Hurry,” “Dixieland Delight,” “If You’re Gonna Play in Texas (You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band),” “Mountain Music,” “Born Country,” “High Cotton” and many more.
