Health & Safety – COVID-19

A Message About COVID-19

Music Man Suitcase

Last Updated: January 27, 2021

Under guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Governor of Minnesota, some operations at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT), including The Music Man, are currently suspended. The new guidelines announced on January 6th have allowed us to reopen the Concert Series and Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret at limited capacity to allow proper safety protocols and social distancing. Also, if you are in the Chanhassen area, Brindisi’s Pub is currently open for take-out and in-person dining. CDT will continue to monitor the situation and reevaluate as more information about COVID-19 unfolds.

Our box office is operating at a limited capacity and can be reached by phone Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm and on Saturdays from 1 – 5pm. You can also email tickets@ChanhassenDT.com — someone will reply as soon as possible.  Thank you for your patience.

Please visit this website and our social media pages for the most current information. We are planning to fully reopen as soon as local government has determined it is safe to do so.

Your patience and goodwill is sincerely appreciated. We wish you good health, peace, and look forward to “Entertaining You!” very soon!

-Michael Brindisi, President & Artistic Director

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I have tickets to an affected performance?

Nothing!  The box office will contact customers with tickets to affected performance dates as necessary. We are not refunding any tickets at this time – the tickets will be placed on your account to use once we are able to reopen.

Can I contact the box office?

Our box office is operating at a limited capacity and can be reached by phone Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm. You can also email tickets@ChanhassenDT.com — someone will reply as soon as possible.  Thank you for your patience.

When will The Music Man return and will it be extended?

We are currently aiming for a summer 2021 return date for The Music Man.  CDT currently has permission to open The Music Man when it is safe to do so and will be extended.

Are Concert Series events still happening?

Yes. Concert Series events have moved into the Main Dinner Theatre (where The Music Man usually performs.) In this larger space, we can properly distance groups to comply with state safety guidelines.

Can I get a refund?

We are not processing refunds at this time.  It is our intention to resume operations and reschedule all events when it is safe to do so.  The value of all affected tickets have been placed on guest’s accounts and will never expire.

How can I help?

Come visit us when we reopen! Buy tickets and gift cards! There are a lot of people out of work during this difficult time. The greatest gift would be to come back to full houses ready to receive the hospitality and enjoy the entertainment we’re famous for!
