Health & Safety – COVID-19

A Message About COVID-19

Last Updated: May 14, 2021

Under guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Governor of Minnesota, some operations at Chanhassen Dinner Theatres (CDT), including The Music Man, are currently suspended. Updated guidelines allow for optional mask use and for us to increase indoor capacity for the Concert Series and Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret using appropriate health and safety protocols and social distancing. Beginning May 28, 2021 there are no restrictions on capacity and social distancing is no longer required. For the comfort and safety of our guests, for ticketed events taking place between May 28 – July 25, 2021, CDT will not seat different parties at the same table.

We continue to offer on-demand streaming events through our Chan@Home Concert Series.  See the lineup here. Also, if you are in the Chanhassen area, Brindisi’s Pub is currently open for take-out and in-person dining. CDT will continue to monitor the situation and reevaluate as more information about COVID-19 unfolds.

CDT recently announced the July 2, 2021 return of The Music Man. This date was selected based on available information about virus transmission statistics and the pace of community vaccinations. When The Music Man resumes, we will continue to follow the current health and safety guidelines provided by the Minnesota Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control, and other applicable industry and government agencies. The safety of our guests, actors and employees are vital to us.

In addition, we will be resuming performances working in partnership with our artists’ unions, Actors’ Equity Association and the American Federation of Musicians, to ensure and provide for the health and safety of our performers.
